Privacy policy
Who we are
ADBL — Association for Happiness and Childhood is a community project created in Québec (Canada) and currently being structured. Website: adbl.ca. Contact: contact@adbl.ca.
We apply the principles of Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Person in charge of personal information
The person responsible for ADBL holds this role (official designation in progress). Any question or request: contact@adbl.ca.
What we collect
Only what you send us through the contact form: your name, email address, message and the language of the page. Nothing else is asked.
Why
To read your message and reply to you. Your information is never sold, rented, shared for commercial purposes or used for advertising.
Cookies and audience measurement
The public website sets no cookies and uses no external tracking or advertising tools. We only keep anonymous counters (pages viewed per day, language), without IP addresses. If your browser asks not to be tracked (DNT or GPC), nothing is counted.
Security
The website is encrypted (HTTPS). Messages are kept in a folder closed to the Web. The administration is protected by a strong password and can require a code from a phone. To limit abuse, IP addresses are only used as an irreversible fingerprint; only the administration’s security log keeps the IP address of login attempts, for at least 180 days.
Where data is stored
With our web host (Namecheap), whose servers may be located outside Québec, and in our mailbox for new-message notifications.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. A precise maximum period is being defined. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@adbl.ca. We reply within 30 days.
You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Children
The form is intended for adults. A child under 14 must write to us with a parent’s agreement and help.
Incidents
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as required by law.
